Thailand
The EU is one of Thailand's major trading partners ranking second in terms of export and third in terms of import. The formal framework for the EU’s relationship with Thailand is currently based on the EU-ASEAN Agreement of 1980. Negotiation on an EU-Thailand Partnership and Co-operation Agreement (PCA) began in 2004. The PCA will provide a comprehensive framework for co-operation between the EU and Thailand in all possible key areas.
Thailand has officially submitted a request for assistance to UNSCR 1540 Committee and stated that is strives to continuously improve its export control system, also in cooperation with the EU, the USA and Japan.
